Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports eye Bull Trophy in Bob Weikert Memorial; Grandview to launch week Tuesday

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MIFFLINTOWN, Pa. (May 18, 2026) - The “Madman” Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports have plenty to prep for, as the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing schedule is set to continue tomorrow evening - Tuesday, May 19 - with a visit to Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, followed by the $100,000-to-win Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal Speedway on Friday through Sunday, May 22-24. Upping the ante, Tuesday’s program at Grandview will be broadcast live via FS1.

Madsen, a recent High Limit Racing winner at Lucas Oil Speedway, will roll into the week with a recent Port Royal Speedway start to his credit, joining the Pennsylvania Posse in the Speed Palace’s annual Keith Kauffman Classic on Saturday, May 16. The Iowa ace via Australia, who is currently fifth in the High Limit Racing standings, finished ninth in his last minute Speed Palace appearance, commencing competition from row four.

As noted, Madsen’s recent visit to Port Royal was last minute, commencing his most recent weekend with World of Outlaws #LetsRaceTwo action at Eldora Speedway on Friday, May 15; he was scored 21st.

“It was good to get some laps in at Port Royal,” Tye Wolfgang, Vermeer Motorsports’ Crew Chief, explained. “We weren’t sure what the weather was going to do at Eldora on Saturday, so we made the choice to head east. It worked in our favor…gave us a chance to try some things and fine tune our program before the Weikert. It’s going to be a great week.”

ON DECK:
Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports will continue their 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing campaign with a trip to Central Pennsylvania, visiting Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville on Tuesday, May 19, followed by Port Royal Speedway’s $100,000-to-win Bob Weikert Memorial on Friday through Sunday, May 22-24. In addition to Flo, Tuesday’s event will be broadcast live via FS1.
