NEW SHERIFF: Xavier Doney takes POWRi championship lead; Electric City, Lake Ozark ahead

ODESSA, Mo. (May 18, 2026) - Odessa, Missouri’s Xavier Doney is officially on top of the POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League championship standings, taking command following the Series’ Show-Me State doubleheader weekend at US 36 Raceway and Lucas Oil Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16, respectively. Doney, who finished third in the 2025 championship standings, controls the POWRi fort by a ten-point margin, padded by three top-tens in three feature starts.
Speaking of top-tens, Doney, powered by Kat Excavation, Pella Building Systems-Mini Storage Specialists, Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Five Star Bodies, Stanton Racing Engines, CALI Floors, Wilwood Disc Brakes, DMI, Schaeffer’s Oil, Outlaw Wings, Schoenfeld Headers, Smith Titanium, and Design Source Flooring, earned a top-ten outcome in each of his aforementioned starts, finishing fourth at US 36 Raceway before finishing third at Lucas Oil the following evening.
Natalie Doney, Xavier’s younger sister and teammate at Doney-Lawson Racing and Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars, was also in action at US 36 Raceway and Lucas Oil Speedway, highlighting competition with a Lucas Oil feature start before concluding the 25-lapper in the 19th position. An impressive preliminary effort, nonetheless, Doney qualified seventh overall, racing on to finish fourth in her respective heat race.

Doney-Lawson Racing and the Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars will continue their 2026 campaign with a POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League Memorial Day Weekend | Missouri tripleheader at Electric City Speedway (May 22) and Lake Ozark Speedway (May 23 & 24). Electric City and night one at Lake Ozark will award $5,000-to-win each, followed by Lake Ozark’s $7,000-to-win “Ozark Wave Breaker” finale on Sunday.
