BIGGER IN TEXAS: Madsen and Vermeer with big results in Lone Star State double, All eyes on Kokomo Speedway

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MIFFLINTOWN, Pa. (May 4, 2026) - As known to most, “everything is bigger is Texas,” and for “The Madman” Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports, the biggest part of their High Limit Racing trip to the Lone Star State was their results, concluding Texas Motor Speedway’s Stockyard Stampede doubleheader with back-to-back top-five appearances. For Madsen, who calls Iowa home via St Marys, New South Wales, Australia, the top-five run was not only vital short term, but also in the long term, as the points earned propelled the team to fifth in the High Limit Racing national championship.

Madsen, powering Tony Vermeer’s TK Concrete, Maxim Trucking & Materials, Logan Contractors, No. 55 sprint car, finished fifth and third in his Texas Motor Speedway double; fifth on Thursday, April 30, and third in the weekend finale on Saturday, May 2. With all results considered, Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports now own 10 top-ten achievements on the season, three of which within the top-five including their recent victory at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, included.

It should be noted that Madsen started no worse than third in each of his A-Main appearances, winning his respective heat race in each night of competition.

“Super happy with our results this weekend in Texas. Feels good to come out of there with a ton of momentum and a ton of consistency,” Madsen noted. “Here’s to keeping this momentum alive in our upcoming weekend at Kokomo Speedway. It’s an exciting place and I’m confident we’ll continue to put up some big results.”

ON DECK:
Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports will continue their 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing campaign with a Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, May 8-9. The inaugural Driven2SaveLives Bryan Clauson Hero Classic will feature two, full programs, welcoming High Limit’s “High Rollers” for the first time of 2026 - not due back until September 23.
