KING OF KOKOMO: Reutzel leads all 40 in Kokomo’s Bryan Clauson Hero Classic; Fremont, Attica, Eldora all ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

KNOXVILLE, Iowa (May 11, 2026) - “A-Aron” Aaron Reutzel is officially the King of Kokomo Speedway - at least for now, earning the highly sought-after Bryan Clauson Hero Classic victory featuring Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing on Saturday, May 9. The Clute, Texas, native, now an 11-time winner with the “High Rollers” including four this season, led every lap of the 40-lap contest, launching his evening effort with the fastest qualifying time, racing on to finish third in his respective heat race before winning the evening’s dash.

Adding to his weekend stat sheet, Reutzel, who earned $20,000 for his Kokomo Speedway triumph, is now on top of the High Limit Racing championship chase, holding a nine point advantage over Tanner Thorson. In addition, the Kokomo Speedway victory was Reutzel’s second consecutive with High Limit Racing, victorious in Fort Worth, Texas, just one weekend prior.

Reutzel’s Kokomo Speedway visit was intended to be two days, but Friday’s program was eventually washed away due to Mother Nature.

“What a ride we’re on right now,” Ryan Wyant, Team Manager of the Ridge & Sons Racing, Power Plus, Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, Rasmusson Service Center, Bargain Barn, No. 87 sprint car, said. “It’s full steam ahead. We have the confidence and the chemistry to win, and we’re going to ride that momentum as long as we can. The plan is to put on a show all week in Ohio. It all starts Tuesday at Fremont.”

ON DECK:
Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing will continue their 2026 campaign with four days of competition in the Buckeye State, all of which kicking off with midweek visits to Fremont Speedway (All Stars) and Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday and Thursday, May 12 and May 14, respectively (each $20,000-to-win). Action will move to Rossburg’s Eldora Speedway for #LetsRaceTwo weekend featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Friday and Saturday, May 15-16.
