Madsen and Vermeer set to resume High Limit campaign with trips to Arrowhead and Texas
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
MIFFLINTOWN, Pa. (April 27, 2026) - Despite a tough week in the Midwest that left the team with no additional highlights on the stat sheet, the “Mad Man” Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports are more than ready to get back to work, set to resume their 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing campaign with a one-night visit to Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, April 28, followed by a Texas Motor Speedway doubleheader on Thursday and Saturday, April 30 and May 2.
Madsen, the ace of Tony Vermeer’s TK Concrete, Maxim Trucking & Materials, Logan Contractors, No. 55 sprint car, will roll into Arrowhead Speedway as a recent High Limit Racing winner, leading every circuit of Lucas Oil Speedway’s 30-lap contest on Saturday, April 18. The Iowa wheelman via Down Under is currently sixth in the High Limit Racing championship, trailing Nevada’s own Tanner Thorson, who’s seeking his first title, by 109 markers.
As expressed, it was a tough, and rather unlucky recent week of competition for Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports, unable to translate starts at Eagle Raceway (High Limit) on April 21 and Knoxville Raceway (World of Outlaws) on April 24-25 into top-ten results. In fact, “nowhere-to-go” situations were the culprit in much of Madsen’s week, the first occurring in Tuesday’s Eagle visit after starting fourth and again in Saturday’s Knoxville start after starting eighth.
“Just one of those weeks, but we’ll shake it off,” Tye Wolfgang, Vermeer Motorsports Crew Chief, explained. “Hats off to the team. A lot was thrown at us, but everyone kept working and never gave up. We had a lot of speed…a lot more than what our results show. We’ll take the good with the bad and be ready for Arrowhead.”
