Rico strong in Knoxville’s WoO Clash finale; Arrowhead, Texas next for High Limit

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (April 27, 2026) - St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu is certainly no stranger to the sweeping corners of Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. And although the ace of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, Carquest, Curb Records, Sugarbee Apples, Waste Connections, Arc Zone, Martin One Source, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, No. 24 sprinter was unable to match prior outcomes and claim victory, the reigning High Limit Racing champion did the next best thing and concluded the two-day Premier Chevy Dealers Clash with a top-five.
In fact, Abreu, who finished fifth in his World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series top-five appearance on Saturday, April 25, was nearly perfect to that point, opening preliminary competition with a heat race win, all before racing on to win the evening’s dash. An unofficial test session for August’s Knoxville Nationals, the eventual top-five was redemption for Abreu, as well, as the Californian opened his two-day invasion with a 14th-place score on Friday, April 24.
Prior to Knoxville Raceway, Rico Abreu and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing joined Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing in a Midweek Series visit to Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nevada, on Tuesday, April 21. Abreu finished eighth in the facility’s Spring Jackpot, commencing main event action from the outside of row three.
ON DECK:
Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing campaign with a one-night visit to Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, April 28, followed by a Texas Motor Speedway doubleheader on Thursday and Saturday, April 30 and May 2.
