Madsen makes moves in New Mexico and Texas; High Limit schedule to pick up in Kansas and Missouri

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MIFFLINTOWN, Pa. (March 30, 2026) – The “Madman” Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports have been on the move, quite literally, earning back-to-back top-ten appearances in recent starts at Vado Speedway Park in Vado, New Mexico, and Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas, on Tuesday and Friday, March 24 and 27.

In fact, Madsen, now with seven top-tens on the season aboard Vermeer’s TK Concrete, Maxim Trucking & Materials, Logan Contractors, No. 55 sprinter, finished ninth in each of his top-ten achievements, the latter the product of an impressive hard charge from 19th on the grid. The ten-spot increase was enough to solidify Route 66’s official Hard Charger Award, finishing just behind Texas’ own Sam Hafertepe Jr.

With all results considered, Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports sit sixth in the High Limit Racing championship, 29 points out of the top-five (with Tyler Courtney in fifth) and 104 points out of the lead (Tanner Thorson).

High Limit’s “High Rollers” were intended to continue action at Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday, March 28, but Mother Nature had other plans.

“Overall, a consistent weekend for our team, and that’s what we’re after,” Tye Wolfgang, Vermeer Motorsports Crew Chief, explained. “Victories are our main priority, but maintaining consistency is just as important. Things are looking up from here and we’re excited about it.

“We’ll take Easter off to regroup before getting back to action,” Wolfgang continued. “We don’t have an exact plan for April 10-11, but we’ll have something figured out soon.”

ON DECK:
Kerry Madsen and Vermeer Motorsports will continue their 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing campaign with a Kansas and Missouri doubleheader. Action will commence Friday, April 17, at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, followed by a trip to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, on Saturday, April 18.
